Term 2 Week 1
Room 21’s Week 1 Wrap Up
Welcome back to an E X C I T I N G term everyone. I hope you had a wonderful Easter break and enjoyed spending time together as a family.
Firstly, we would like to welcome Foram Bhatt to room 21. Forum has come to MVS from India and we really hope she enjoys being a part of our amazing classroom.
Secondly, congrats to Brosnyn, Kayla, Shay, Sunwoo and Courtney on a great job presenting MVTV on Wednesday. You did room 21 proud!
This week’s focus has been all about presenting our Senior Assembly. What a week! A lot goes into the organisation on assembly as room 21 found out this week. There’s planning a theme and class item, organising a script and co-ordinating the right people for the right job.
There were so many wonderful ideas for a class item and eventually we decided on a fashion show (with a twist) and a group dance. I’m so proud of everyone’s efforts in organising and presenting our assembly. It was neat watching you all work together, have fun and present an amazing assembly. I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in a week. You are all such great sports Room 21 and I enjoyed seeing you a different side to your personalities! Check out the photos below of us at assembly.
Congratulations to Liam for winning the Citizenship Cup for 2010. We talked about what makes a good citizen in class and came up with qualities like patient, responsible, kind & caring, honesty, organised, humourous, gives 100% in everything, encourages & helps others and many, many more. I have such a wonderful class and any one of my kids could have won the cup this year. When we did a class vote, virtually every child had been voted for, and the most votes any one person got was two, just proving what a lovely mix of children we have in room 21. There was no clear favourite and it was a very difficult decision to make. I really wish we had 30 trophies to hand out this year!!!!!
This term’s topic is: AWE and WONDER with a Science focus. We are looking forward to carrying out a number of scientific experiments this term. Keep checking out our website page for weekly updates and photos of our experiments.
Until next week,
Keep cool til after school
