Term 1 Week 5

CAMP CAREY PARK

AMAZING, AWESOME, CHALLENGING, FABULOUS, EXCITING, SCARY, FANTABULOUS, NERVE-WRACKING, INCREDIBLE, AND UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

There are a thousand adjectives that could describe our 3 days at Camp Carey Park.  It was SENSTAIONAL.  All the children had a life changing experience.  I got the most amazing buzz seeing the children in the Outdoor Education setting.  They impressed me with their courage and perseverance, their kindness and compassion towards others.  Their encouragement of each other was inspiring and I feel so privileged to be a part of it all. 

The children were given the opportunity to participate in wall climbing, kayaking, abseiling, rifle shooting, archery, problem solving, camp cooking and sports bag.  Each activity bought out many different attributes in each child.  Abseiling was the most challenging, but because of this, perhaps, the most rewarding!

Thanks to all the children in year 6 for such an amazing 3 days, and particularly my darlings in room 21.  I am very lucky to be your teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you grow over the past few days.  You are all stars to me!!!
