Welcome to Room 21
Welcome to Room 21 Year 6 Wow! What a summer. I really hope you all enjoyed the wonderful break with your family as I did. My husband, Darren, and daughter, Eloise (14months) and I enjoyed a tremendous Kiwi summer on the Coromandal, enjoying swimming, running, walking and bike rides together.
I am excited to be back teaching in Year 6 after a year’s maternity leave and a term with the New Entrants in term 4, 2009. We have such a wonderful term planned; an obvious highlight, of course, being Camp Carey Park on March 1, 2 & 3. This will be a most exciting and challenging event for our children. Some of the neat activities include, abseiling, rock climbing, kayaking, a confidence course, archery, and camp cooking. I really must have a go on the flying fox this year – the smiles of the children in previous years has definitely inspired me to have a go this year for sure!!
Parents and caregivers, please feel free to pop into the classroom anytime and check out what your wonderful children have been learning. I have an open door policy and welcome your help and support. We will be endeavering to update Room 21’s webpage each week, so stay tuned for all the wonderful achievements your children are making in Room 21.
Happy Term 1 everyone!
Kind regards,
Kim Whitehead (Mrs)
