Rita Wedding - Room 13 - Year 3 - 4

Term 2 has been a very exciting term with the children thoroughly engrossed in their experimentations arising from “I Wonder Questions”.  The big focus was on “Curiosity”, and the children learnt to explore, question, investigate, and accept that failure was also part of their learning.   The children were keen to participate in class experiments as well as coming up with their own variations.  They became familiar with experiment procedures and felt comfortable hypnotising and understanding the processes as to why as scientists it was important to follow a procedure.  The children then presented their experiments at a “Science Fair” within the syndicate.  Throughout the term the children also revisited their individual goals set at the beginning of the year. They had to think about how these goals, if they had been successful achieving them, had helped them in their learning or to become better learners.
