Room 11’s Weekly Update Week 9

The children in Room 11 can be described as super, super, SUPER EXCITED about this week.  Why???  Assembly of course!  Yes, it was room 11’s moment to shine and bring Assembly to the junior school.  Thanks so much to Mrs Purdie for her dance expertise these past few weeks in teaching the children their ‘sporty dance’.  They looked amazing on Friday, all smiling and bubbling with enthusiasm!  Every child in room 11 has done something to help make our assembly amazing!  Everyone danced, some were very brave and presented items and some did the behind the scenes jobs that are so vital to make sure things run smoothly.  On a personal note, it was special for me to work with some of the year 8 children who I taught a few years ago.  They helped with sound and power points and keeping me sane and calm J  So thanks, Caitlin, Sophia, Liam, Shay, Netesh, Kieren, Kylie and Deelan.  Thanks guys, we couldn’t have done it without you!

A special congratulations to Nicki Harvey, room 11’s citizenship cup winner for 2012.  What a pleasure it was for me to award you with this trophy Nicki.  You always try your hardest, you’re a lovely friend for all the children, you love helping, your have many sporting talents and you are an all round AMAZING girl!  No doubt your family are very proud of you, as are room 11.Check out some of the pics below of us shining in our assembly!  Way to go Room 11.  You all did a FANTASTIC job!
