Room 21’s Week 7 Wrap Up A T H L E T I C S
The weather gods played a few tricks on us on Wednesday, but eventually we got out for a superb day of Athletic action.
The Year 5/6’s began on the track with the 100m sprint. Congratulations to Chrisma, Yasmin, Caitlin and Kelly for making the final of the 100m girls and to Trent, Jude, Luke and Caleb for making the 100m boys finals. A B I G congratulations to Chrisma for winning the Year 6 girls 100m final and Luke for getting 3rd in the boys 100m final!
Congratulations to Yasmin (1st), Chrisma (2nd) in the 50m girls final and to Luke (2nd) in the 50m boys finals.
In the 400m we need to congratulate Yasmin for coming 2nd and Chrisma for coming 3rd . Congrats to Liam for coming 2nd in the boys 400m.
The girls competed in the Long Jump and Yasmin did us proud coming 3rd. The boys High Jump competition saw Liam take out 2nd place. Well done to everyone in room 21 for participating in the Senior Athletics and getting into the spirit of the day. Check out the photos below of us in action.
The Year 3’s organised Funky Friday this week and there were some interesting characters walking around the school. All the contributions from this mufti day go to the worthy cause of Starship Hospital. Thanks for your support everyone.
This week we made a great start on our Camp Evaluation Charts. I love the buzz that camp reflections make in the classroom. I have encouraged the children to type up some of their work at home as part of their homework and am looking forward to seeing the finished product next week.
Only 4 days until the holidays and a good excuse to eat lots of chocolate and hot cross buns team!
