Greetings. We are now well into the third term and are continuing to do lots of exciting activities and learning about our topic “Looking Back to Looking Forward”. Our topic includes an depth study of Maori culture and learning the Maori language. We were very fortunate to be able to visit a Marae, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. They learnt formal procedures for being welcomed onto the Marae and took part in the Powhiri. It gave the children a deeper understanding and respect for Maori culture.
