Welcome to Room 17

Welcome to Room 17! 2010

I hope you all had a relaxing summer holiday. In room 17 we have the most marvellous group of girls (14) and boys (15). We are really looking forward to learning cool stuff and getting to know each other this term. 

Our integrated topic is “Our voices are Powerful” focusing on local heroes. Our essential questions are

·         Who are the people in my community who help others with their time, skills and experience?

·         Who would I like to investigate and how have they contributed to the community where I live a better place?

·         What can I do to help make community where I live a better place?

During the topic study, children will do inquiry project on investigating a local hero who they would like to. Children will follow the steps such as forming a question, planning, finding out, sharing, presenting and evaluation.
