Kyle Barnard - Room 19 - Year 5

Dear Parents & Caregivers,

Welcome back to Term 4 I trust you all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday! It is hard to believe that we are in the final term already and Christmas is fast approaching! We have an exciting last term planned in Room 19!

 Topic                     

Our integrated topic for this term is ‘Toys.’ The students will be working in small groups, designing and making a toy from everyday household items to present at Team Barnard’s Trade Show. While working in teams, each student will be learning about the different roles that people play in the business world e.g. CEO, Sales and Marketing, Manager and Production. Likewise, the students will be learning about focus groups and how to use feedback to make changes, modify and then market a product. All parents are most welcome to come and enjoy the Trade Show. We will notify parents about dates and times in another letter soon. 

Team Trip

On Tuesday 23 November we will be going to Long Bay Regional Park to participate in the Outdoor Challenge workshops with the local Rangers. Workshops will involve basic orienteering skills, cooking skills, putting up tents and making shelters. A more detailed newsletter will be coming home in the next few weeks.
